Job Description:

Engineering will be focused on building capabilities to improve the value of databases within P&G across clouds and database types via responsibilities such as:

• Build new cloud-based database environments
• Serve as overall domain expert on database technologies
• Architecture, design, build, and support database automations and capabilities focused on deployment, manageability, performance improvements, security, self-healing, monitoring, OR / DR / HA, and cost optimizations
• Explore, prototype, and deliver new cloud database and storage technologies, features, and capabilities
• Plan and analyze best solutions for cloud migrations of database, new database deployments, and other transformations
• Define database reference architectures
• Provide level 3 operational support
• Software database license compliance and cost optimization Qualifications
  • 5+ years of cloud capabilities and services experience (Azure primarily)
  • 5+ years of Relational database support or development experience
  • Knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, shell scripting, Puppet, etc.)
  • 3+ years of database implementation patterns within application architectures experience (e.g., how database and non-database components interact)
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and related tools (e.g., Visual Studio, Github, etc.)What we offer!
