Job DescriptionBecome a member of one of the largest engineering
companies in the world. As an Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
Software Engineer in the Programmable Solution Group (PSG) you will
be working on one of the most fascinating technology used in big
data centers - The Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA).You will
research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable
the use of FPGAs. Our engineers develop and optimize compilers,
flows, assemblers, models, tools, and runtimes that are closely
coupled to FPGA silicon, IP and boards. They will be learning about
FPGAs and hardware logic design in their day to day job activities
and utilize their software skillset to design, develop and optimize
software abstractions and frameworks for acceleration with the
FPGA. They will have many opportunities to respond to
customer/client requests or events as they occur. In this role you
will be developing the software for Intel - Quartus - tool that
programs the next generation of FPGA devices.Your scope of
responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Developing high quality C or C++ software code for enabling
high-speed transceivers and other peripheral components in
FPGAs.
- Owning, developing and enhancing tools that automate the Device
Modeling of peripheral components of FPGA.
- Owning the hardware/software co-design architecture of various
blocks.
- Designing and implementing new features based on the
hardware/software co-design architecture as well enhancing existing
features while maneuvering your way through a huge code base.
- Owning various analytical/logical/CAD tasks involved in device
and power modeling of various peripheral components.The ideal

minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a
combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant
previous job and/or internship experiences.Minimum
qualificationsCandidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree
in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
or related field.3+ years of experience as Bachelor's or 1+ years
as Master's of experience of software development in one or more
software programming/scripting languages (C/C++, Python, etc.).
-Preferred qualificationsExperience with:
- Data-structures/algorithms
- Build process/make files
- Version control systems like Perforce, CVS, or Git
- RTL using Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location
and experienceWorking ModelThis role will be eligible for our
hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time
between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate
