The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
- 3+ years: PLC programming experience
- 3+ years: HMI programming experience
- 3+ years: Control Panel Design
- 1+ years: Creating Sequence of Operations
As a mid-level Instrument & Controls Facilities
technician/programmer working on leading semiconductor plants, you
will have the chance to work on systems for state-of-the-art
semiconductor facilities. Working with other members of our team of
Jacobs staff, you will install, program and commission facility
control systems for semiconductor manufacturing tools, and in
support of new construction and retrofit projects. You will also
engage with clients and subcontractors as you participate in
regular field walks to maintain the existing facility control
systems including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues that
Knowledge and Skills:
--- Considerable knowledge and experience with Programmable Logic
Controllers (PLC) including Allen Bradley and G.E.
--- Considerable knowledge and experience working with HMI
Programming including G.E. Cimplicity SCADA, Ignition SCADA, and
other object-oriented systems.
--- Considerable knowledge and experience with analog, digital and
relay field wiring and troubleshooting of devices and PLC
--- Understanding of the concepts and principles of electronic and
pneumatic process controls.
--- Considerable knowledge and experience in the design of
industrial control panels.
--- Knowledge and understanding of the functions of electronic
pressure, level, temperature and other "smart" transmitters.
--- Knowledge of the symbols and standard practices used in the
preparation of P&IDs and the ability to use technical libraries
to determine state-of-the-art methods for instrument selection, and
--- Knowledge of the principles of operations, terminology, safety
considerations and applications for common analytical
--- Ability to keep records, manage multiple demanding project
schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication
skills, interpret varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams,
specifications and schematics.
