Job Description:

Engineering Graphic DesignerLocation: San Jose, CA12-month assignment (potential to extend)Pay Rate:$32-38/hour
Our computer hardware client is looking for a graphic designer to prepare drawings using AutoCAD in conformance with the client's drawing standards and specifications to support the Real Estate Operations Engineering department.
Duties:

• Field Verification as required for building and site architectural, electrical, mechanical, and piping trades
• Update as-built databases for the Facilities Engineering Department that includes site and building utilities such as architectural plans, electrical plans, mechanical plans, piping plans (MEP's), diagrams, schematics, and electrical panel schedule updates
• Create and maintain electronic drawing files that provide documentation of facilities building "as-built" condition
  Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of applicable general engineering drafting experience
  • Knowledgeable in the most recent versions of AutoCAD software platforms
  • Knowledge of 3D drawing production, Revit, and BIM development is a plus
  • Understanding of the process of general engineering drawing production that is in conformance with prescribed CAD Drafting Graphic Standards
  • Ability to read and understand engineering documents and redlined revisions made to such documents
  • General knowledge of engineering standards and symbols for all disciplines including Architectural, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical designs
