As our customer footprint and data volume grows exponentially, we are looking for an exceptional engineer to join the Ayla Cloud team. You will be a key member of the team influencing the various services that manage device and user data. What You Will Be Doing Implementing highly scalable and reliable systems for millions of device and user data Gain deep knowledge of the architecture of our systems and own the lifecycle of various microservices from the design to implementation and continuous iterative development to their deployment and monitoring Bringing data from multiple sources across all timelines with varying Quality of Service (QoS) Working with our Java/Kubernetes microservices, Kafka Event Bus, and Hadoop/Spark Data Lake Explore and introduce new tools to deliver structured data for easier analysis to downstream applications. Desired Skills and Experience 5 years of experience in software engineering, building highly scalable systems Proven technical excellence with modern Java Experience implementing services on top of cloud infrastructures, such as AWS Nice to have end-to-end experience on a Data Lake project with the ability to take streaming data and convert it to structured data for easier analysis by downstream applications Solid design ability with RESTful and steaming APIs Strong believer in TDD and the agile development model Drive to succeed, learn, and grow in a fast-paced environment BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) Ayla Networks provides full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision and 401(k) including Equity and PTO).
