Job Description:
Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift:
Varies Experience: Minimum 2 years License: California RN license
Certifications: BLS; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Candidates without
heart experience will be excluded. Description: Please submit a
complete resume. Open heart experience is required. General
information about the unit: Number of beds is 12 OR rooms. Number
of staff includes 38 RNs, 6 PD RNs, and 12 benefited techs. Staff
type includes day shift, mid shift, and evening shift teams.
Patient ratios do not apply. Type of equipment includes
perioperative equipment. EMR used is Meditech. Typical hiring
profile includes RNs. Candidates with heart experience will be
considered first. Other area skills in different specialties such
as robotics, orthopedics, eye, gynecology, ENT, plastics, thoracic,
and general are preferred. Typical procedures performed include
neuro, spine, total joint, gastric sleeves, major general surgery,
ENT, pediatric, urology, and heart procedures like CABG and valves.
Best personality fit includes individuals who work well in teams,
are flexible, and are pleasant. Candidates may float to pre-op.
Dress code consists of hospital-provided scrubs. Weekend and
on-call rotation will be discussed during the interview.
