transportation.General Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated,
dynamic, and qualified Assembly supervisor to help manage and lead
our team of assemblers to perform production activities that
require assembling/modifying medical devices and military
electronics and understand the production process and the quality
goals of the company to help achieve total customer
satisfaction.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Multitask by splitting time between taking a hands-on approach
with in-depth knowledge and experience while also overseeing
day-to-day operations with respect to product quality and on-time
delivery
- Have work prepped and tasks ready for cable assemblers to work
on
- Provide clear and concise directions to follow for assembly
jobs through verbal and visual instructions
- Train, coach, and mentor a small group of lesser experienced
assemblers on every step of the process
- Work in conjunction with operations and engineering to plan out
and prioritize jobs to meet scheduled demand as well as ensuring
that products meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Monitor materials usage and work with purchasing and stockroom
to inform of shortages or parts in low supply that need to be
replenished and equipment/tools that are needed to be
purchased
- Coordinates with other assembly operations for jobs that
require parts
- Keep production management informed of any issues of concern
which includes problems that need to be addressed and overall
evaluation of the progress and performance of assemblersEducation,
Training & Experience:
- 3-5 years of direct hands-on assembly experience
- 3-5 years of management/supervisory experience
- Able to read and understand drawings, schematics, and
blueprints
- High school degree or equivalent
- reading /understanding drawings, schematics, and blueprints: 5
years (Required)
- operating machinery and utilizing various equipment/tools: 5+
years (Required)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Motivated, self-starter with stronger leadership skills,
all-around team player
- Ability to multitask and stay focused on the task at hand as
necessary
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, effective time
management skills
- Good manual dexterity, able to set up and operate machinery,
and utilize various machinery/tools
- Patient, instructive, and possess excellent communication
skills
- Must be fluent and able to communicate in English/Spanish
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking
