Speech Language Pathologist Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist administers diagnostic speech and language evaluations, provides direct patient services, and instructs/educates patients and caregivers following established policies and protocols. The position is responsible for working directly with the children and parents and ensuring that each child receives optimal individualized treatment. In addition, the position also collaborates with the clinical team, educators, and families to ensure optimal growth and development for each child. Benefits $1,500 sign-on bonus for full-time salary staff Competitive salary Performance-based bonus plan beginning your first day Premium health, dental and vision plans beginning your first day with 100 percent employer-paid options available PTO accrual and paid holidays beginning your first day 401k, FSA and college savings plan, among other benefits Reimbursement for CEUs, license fees, professional dues, CPR/first aid certification, and insurance costs Private therapy suite in our child-centered campus with no travel or driving required Duties and Responsibilities Evaluates and assesses pediatric patients with a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and/or neurological defects Educates patient, family, teachers and other caregivers in treatment and home management techniques Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest quality and consistency of care Offers appropriate referrals, resources and education to parents Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Performs other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Masters Degree in speech-language pathology, current California license in speech and language pathology, and one year of related experience (CFY candidates also considered) Current CPR certification Commitment to excellence and high standards Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Bilingual skills a plus Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline Strong charting/documentation skills Work requirements Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously Bend, reach and lift up to or above head May be required to lift up to 40 pounds Kneel or sit on floor for up to 30 minutes at a time while working with children Climb and descent stairways Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment
