an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Corporate Team a
unique and impactful role supporting the successful startup of new
correctional healthcare sites as well as existing contracts, as

role is for you. What Youll Do: Provide direct patient care by
assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
plans according to established policies and procedures. Conduct
initial medical screenings and assessments for all incoming inmates
and provide ongoing healthcare as needed throughout their
incarceration. Perform comprehensive physical assessments and
history reviews to determine patient health status and prioritize
care needs. Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and
medical interventions in compliance with physician orders and
healthcare protocols. Provide care for patients with chronic
conditions, acute illnesses, and mental health issues, coordinating
with other healthcare providers as necessary. Respond to and manage
medical emergencies, including trauma and medical crises, ensuring
timely and appropriate interventions. Accurately document patient
assessments, treatments, and progress in the electronic medical
record (EMR) in accordance with facility policies and legal
requirements. Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and
local healthcare regulations, as well as facility-specific
policies. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of medical
treatments, interventions, and patient outcomes, including
maintaining detailed medical records for audits and compliance
reviews. Participate in the collection and submission of patient
data for quality improvement initiatives and regulatory reporting.
Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including
physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional officers,
to provide comprehensive care to inmates. Collaborate with facility
leadership and healthcare providers to address and resolve patient
care issues and improve health outcomes. Communicate effectively
with patients, their families (as needed), and correctional
facility staff regarding treatment plans, health education, and
health-related concerns. Provide education to inmates on health
management, disease prevention, and post-care instructions. Serve
as a clinical resource and mentor to other nursing staff, providing
guidance and support on clinical practices, protocols, and
emergency response procedures. Assume leadership roles in the
absence of higher-level management, overseeing day-to-day
operations of the nursing team, and ensuring quality care delivery.
Supervise and assist LPNs and nursing assistants in patient care
tasks, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and best
practices. Serve as an RN leader on-site, providing support and
mentoring to facility teams, especially during staffing shortages
or special projects, ensuring smooth operations and quality care.
Provide nursing and management support across multiple correctional
facility locations as needed, adapting quickly to each sites
specific needs, shift schedules (Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends,
Holidays), and team dynamics. Help train and orient new nursing
staff at each assignment location, ensuring proper onboarding,
understanding of facility policies, and integration into the team.
Be a point of contact for site leadership regarding clinical
issues, staffing concerns, and process improvement suggestions.
Adapt quickly to varying policies, procedures, and systems in each
facility and provide guidance to local staff to ensure consistency
in patient care and compliance. Troubleshoot operational or
clinical challenges at different sites and work with local teams
and corporate leadership to develop solutions. Maintain flexibility
in scheduling and travel requirements to meet the facility's
healthcare needs, ensuring continuity of care across different
assignments. Ensure medical equipment and supplies are
appropriately stocked, maintained, and functioning properly; report
any issues to facility management. Assist with maintaining a clean
and safe clinical environment that meets infection control and
safety standards. Participate in ongoing quality improvement
initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes within
the facility. Follow established policies and procedures, including
those related to infection control, safety protocols, and
medication administration. Contribute to the development and review
of healthcare policies and clinical procedures to ensure they
remain in line with current practices and regulations. Work
flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet
the facilitys healthcare needs. Perform other related duties as
assigned. What Were Looking For: A current, valid state(s)
licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to
practice in applicable role (i.e. CMA, LPN, RN, LMHP, etc.). A High
School diploma or GED is required. An Associates or Bachelor's
degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but
not required. 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting,
preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or
administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and
procedures as they relate to the correctional setting is an
advantage. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere
to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced,
structured environment. Active CPR/BLS certificate required
(American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
