Full-Time Medical Director of Foster Care Services for a Large
Public Health and Hospital System in Silicon Valley Better Health
For All Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospital System (SCVHHS), a
large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford
University School of Medicine, is seeking full-time pediatrician to
serve as the Medical Director of the Supporting Protecting And
Respecting Kids (SPARK) Clinic in Downtown San Jose, CA. The SPARK
Clinic is the medical, dental and psychiatric clinic for children
and youth in foster care in Santa Clara County We offer the

About the organization Santa Clara Valley Health and Hospital
System (SCVHHS) is the second-largest County-owned health and

the Department of Pediatrics The department of pediatrics is
dedicated to the welfare and health of the children of Santa Clara
County. With 7 clinics across the county, we welcome all and care
for the underserved population. Physicians who join our department
are supported by a wide variety of services, including pediatric
hospitalists, NICU, PICU and pediatric specialists. We are
integrated by the EPIC EMR across our three hospital campuses.
About the Position We are looking for a full-time pediatrician to
work at the Downtown clinic as the medical director of the SPARK
clinic, a service staffed by two dedicated nurse practitioners. The
physician and two NPs work together to triage, assess, and provide
primary and some urgent care to children in the foster care system.
The successful candidate will have experience and passion in
advocacy for children in the foster care system desired.
Spanish/Vietnamese proficiency a plus but not required. Must be
willing to supervise and work with two nurse practitioners at the
Downtown clinic for both urgent care and primary needs of foster
