We want your knowledge and expertise We are currently hiring for direct care RN positions in Antepartum and Labor Delivery and Clinical Nurse Coordinator's in Mother Baby and and Labor & Delivery RN POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, provides clinically competent professional nursing care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient assessment, development, implementation, and coordination of the patients--- plan of care including the medical treatment plan and the evaluation of patient treatment. The Registered Nurse will function within the full scope of the RN licensure, according to the California Nursing Practice Act. The Registered Nurse has primary accountability for monitoring patient outcomes. As the team coordinator of the patient care team (including but not limited to: physicians, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, technicians, and support and clerical staff), the Registered Nurse collaborates, directs, delegates, assigns, guides and serves as a resource to the department and the patient care team for patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse promotes a cooperative working relationship with care team members, physicians, other disciplines and the public by facilitating and enhancing communication, displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivity to cultural and age differences, and expressing and accepting feedback in a professional manner. Clinical Nurse Coordinator Position Summary If you are looking to advance your management career track, this opportunity is for you The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the unit-based leadership team. The CNC is responsible for managing patient-centered care coordination within the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to Good Samaritan Hospitals' vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. The Registered Nurse supports the mission, philosophy, and goals of the Good Samaritan Hospital. Qualifications Direct Patient Care Requirement Current California Registered Nurse License. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS 30 day grace-period, NRP 60 day grace period A Registered Nurse who has one (1) year of full-time equivalent or more prior Labor & Delivery experience as a Registered Nurse. Clinical Nurse Coordinator Requirements B.S.N preferred. Licensed as a current California RN. BLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required (60-day grace period) ACLS required (L&D 60-day grace period) 2 years of applicable clinical nursing experience. 2 years in a lead role with demonstrated leadership and management proficiency preferred.
