POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the unit based leadership team. The CNC is responsible for managing patient-centered care coordination within the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the hospitals's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

Qualifications LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid CA RN License Required

BLS Required

ACLS within 30-days

NIH Stroke Required

Bachelor's Degree Required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

2 years clinical experience in applicable clinical area required

Leadership or management experience preferred

Certification applicable to clinical area preferred

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system.-

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.-

Must maintain confidentiality.
