OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
The Regional Director leads and manages the programmatic and operational activities of Options For All's programs and services in the assigned region. She / He works as a strategic thought-partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), a hands on coach and mentor to Program Managers, and a trusted colleague to other Regional / Program Directors, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of People Operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Regional Director ensures the effective and efficient delivery of services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and plays a central role in ensuring services promote independence and full inclusion. With a focus on continuous improvement and
the use of innovative, data-driven strategies, this critical member of the organization is responsible for:

Operations and Program Leadership


  • Managing a team of Program Managers to ensure that programs and services are carried out as intended with a high degree of participant and other stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensuring program activities and functions meet and/or exceed regulatory requirements including the requirements of Title XXII, Title XVII, CARF, Department of Rehabilitations, Regional Center and Department of Labor.
  • Ensuring the region operates with the highest levels of professional integrity.
  • Implementing a regional safety program for staff and program participants.
  • Collaborating with CFO to develop program budgets and actively work with the finance team to ensure programs are meeting or exceeding budget goals.
  • Working with COO and other staff to ensure high levels of employee retention and satisfaction and support the implementation of data driven initiatives, practices and benefits to improve these metrics.
  • Maintaining monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics on success in meeting program outcomes.
  • Actively engaging with other provider organizations, vendors, and state agencies to ensure a high degree of visibility of the organizations and create new strategic partnerships and opportunities.
  • Promoting Options For All's work through public events, public speaking and other public relations activities.
  • Keeping the COO informed of all critical issues by maintaining an open line of communication.

    Personnel Management and Leadership


    • Overseeing, guiding, inspiring and integrating the work of Program Managers.
    • Assisting as needed with recruiting, onboarding and training of staff.
    • Working in associations with the Human Resources / People Operations Team, ensures statutory training requirements are met and coaching / disciplinary action is administered appropriately and fairly, providing active support as necessary.
    • Working with COO and other staff to ensure high levels of employee retention and satisfaction and support the implementation of data driven initiatives, practices and benefits to improve these metrics.
    • Overseeing the 'New Hire' training for all appropriate managers and ensure an active and timely approach to performance reviews and issues.
    • Proactively coaching and evaluating direct reports for continuous improvement.

      QUALIFICATIONS
      Education


      • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.
      • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.

        Experience


        • Significant experience managing programs and services for adults with disabilities or similar population in the humann service / nonprofit field.
        • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage direct service and manager level staff with a strong focus on coaching for optimal performance.
        • Demonstrated experience with complex leadership and HR issues including talent/performance management and HR/talent implications of business decisions.
        • Working knowledge of Title XVII, Title XXII and other regulations.
        • Experience developing and managing budgets in excess of $5,000,000.

          Required Skills


          • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
          • Effective crises management skills.
          • Superior interpersonal and time-management skills.
          • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
          • Ability to conduct staff meetings and trainings.
          • Proficient computer and technology skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, search engines.
          • Ability to multitask, organize information and prioritize activities.

            Other Requirements


            • Immediate access to a vehicle with working seat belts, valid driver's license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record.
            • Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided.
            • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
            • Successful completion of drug screen, background check and physical evaluation.
            • Fluency in a foreign language (preferred).
            • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).
