PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Procurement team as the Purchasing Manager at the Los Angeles office.
ABOUT PATHSince its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing. -
ABOUT OUR TEAMThe Procurement team at PATH is responsible for vendor management and purchasing for the PATH family of agencies which includes PATH, PATH Ventures, and PATH Partners, ensuring that purchases are processed accurately, on time, in compliance with both PATH and federal procurement guidelines, vendors are vetted and selected to the organization's operating needs. The Procurement department consists of a Senior Director, statewide Specialist, and statewide Coordinator.
ABOUT THE JOBAs part of the Procurement team, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for assisting the Sr. Director in managing the agency's central purchasing functions, planning and cost reductions.
Position Responsibilities: -

• 
  
• - -Assist programs & support departments with forecasting, central purchasing, budgeting and spend management.--- Partner with Grants Management Team when onboarding new contracts and available funds.--- Provide estimates for initial contract building and budgeting.--- Assist Sr. Director reviewing contract verbiage for allowable buying practices and purchases.--- Review current pricing with fixed suppliers - flagging savings when possible.--- Purchasing policy ambassador; assist Sr. Director with policy creation and revisions.--- Project manage large transactional projects in partnership with Procurement team

  • - Strong decision-making and data analysis skills--- Ability to use computers and proficient in Microsoft Office--- Must project a professional demeanor and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team--- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure and time sensitive environment due to the nature of our mission and outreach needs.--- Must maintain and execute confidential information--- Ability to interact with diverse clientele
    
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    
    • 
      
    • Systems experience with SalesForce, Intacct, Asset Tiger, and Microsoft TEAMS a plus -
      
      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      
      • 
        
      • - Bachelor's degree preferably in purchasing, business, finance or related experience--- 3+ years of purchasing experience.
