Job Description:
Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Develop, lead, implement, and monitor outcomes of DEI
initiatives to ensure they support the agency's mission and create
an inclusive work culture as well as supporting the unique needs
and concerns of marginalized populations.*
- Interface with Momentum Board of Directors, Executive Team,
managers and staff, Santa Clara County (SCC) Behavioral Health
Department, SCC Office of LGBTQ Affairs, SCC BHD Racial Equity and
LGBTQ Council and organizations and other stakeholders. *
- Work with the Executive Team and managers to increase the
diversity of staff; provide consulting to staff to create inclusive
clinical service delivery environments. *
- Partner with the Development team to identify and secure
funding for DEI initiatives and efforts that include training for
staff as well as resources for clients. *
- Partner with Human Resources to administer and evaluate the
results of staff engagement and climate surveys to achieve an
inclusive and diverse staff environment. *
- Create an assessment system, track results of DEI initiatives,
and communicate those results; analyze results and recommend
changes accordingly. *
- Lead and push forward the agencywide DEI strategic plan.
- Lead and participate in professional conferences; consult and
advise senior staff on leading teams that reflect the agency's DEI
values.*
- Report to the Executive Team progresses and outcomes related to
DEI.
- Identify and develop DEI trainings as needed for all
staff.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain effective relations with county-wide, regional and
state diversity and equity partners, and other community
resources.
- Participate in, and/or lead Agency, in-service, or department
meetings and training.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: (E

- Bachelor's degree with at least 5+ years of relevant work
experience in DEI, strategy consulting, program management,
learning and development or other people-related functions.

- Demonstrated impact with DEI at the agency-wide level. (E)
- Experience with DEI best practices and demonstrated
cultural/identity adeptness. (E)
- Experience in change management and project management with the
focus in cultural change and people processes. (D)
- Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and work with
senior stakeholders. (D)
- Managerial experience. (D)
- Effective utilization of computer technology for communication,
information tracking, and accessing of online resources; proven
proficiency in typing/keyboarding-minimum 30 net wpm-and a basic
proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel,
Outlook) and Windows-based databases. (E)
- Demonstrated ability to:

- A valid California Driver License, with access to a reliable
vehicle/for driving a company vehicle, current proof of auto
liability insurance, and a clean DMV record. (E)
- Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions
of this job, with or without accommodation:
- Hearing and talking on telephone and in person; standing,
walking, sitting, pinching and finger flexion are required
constantly (over 2/3 of the workday); (E)
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping,
crouching, and kneeling are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the

- Balancing, climbing and crawling are generally not
