Job Description:
History San Jose seeks a Special Events Manager with solid
management skills to manage HSJ's facilities rental program.
History San Jose is the largest regional history museum in Northern
California, managing 31 historic structures at two locations. Our
passion is to preserve Santa Clara Valley's history through
exhibits, community family-friendly programs, events and cultural
festivals, and award-winning educational programming. Job
responsibilities include booking, planning, managing, and
overseeing all events and festivals within History Park, a 14-acre
outdoor history museum and the Gonzales/Peralta-Fallon Historic
Site in downtown San Jose. In addition, this position works closely
with facilities and other HSJ departments as well City Fire,
Police, and Parks, rental companies, and other event vendors to
assure proper security and safety for all events. Full-time,
exempt, $56,000 annual salary with benefits.
