Connecting. Growing together. The Manager, Member Engagement leads
the development of health education material, wellness-related
activities, and promotional campaigns that encourage employees to
participate in employer-sponsored well-being programs. This
individual oversees the design and development of annual wellness
and fitness engagement toolkits and supports new client
implementations. Portfolio of designs may be requested. You'll
enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the
U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and contribute to the development of annual fitness and
wellness toolkits. This includes determining monthly themes,
providing creative direction to graphic designers and copywriters,
and managing the work/schedules of content contributors
- Supervise two part-time employees that assist with content
development
- Develop original content and refine/contribute to design
projects as necessary
- Partner with graphic designers on refreshing outdated
content/designs
- Maintain a record of all content assets and update collateral
as needed
- Review current engagement programming tactics (email-based
challenges, on-site and virtual activities, well-being breaks,
job-specific toolkits, etc.) and provide recommendations for
enhancements or new programming
- Support communications strategy and collateral creation for new
client launches
- Act as a consultant to client-facing staff seeking new
programming and engagement strategies
- Ensure all collateral meets Optum quality standards
- Manage the clinical review process (submitting materials to the
Clinical Content Development and Review Group)
- Develop best practices for Optum staff who manage their
clients' social media platforms
- Partner with Human Capital team to manage digital corporate
identity and messaging on social media and job boards
- Research, procure and manage vendor relationship(s) for digital
challenges
- Determine ways to measure the success of engagement programs
and share best practices
- Review analytics to inform better content development
decisions
- Support the Director of Member Marketing and Engagement

- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, marketing, business
administration or equivalent work experience
- Experience in the corporate wellness and fitness space,
especially as it relates to strategies that drive utilization and
satisfaction
- Experience creating/managing digital marketing and engagement
strategies
- Experience implementing online/digital wellness challenges
- Project management experience
- Proven writing/editing and graphic design skills; experience
with Adobe Creative CloudPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with or understanding of working with
clinical/regulated content standards
- Experience making presentations
- Experience in developing social media marketing and engagement
strategies
- Video/multimedia experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island
or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
