Contract Negotiating ManagerThis role has been designated as
Edge, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE
office.Job Description: - - -Job Family Definition:Manages the
contracting process for Network as a Service (NaaS/IaaS/PS) sales
transactions by working with customers to draft and negotiate
appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests
and policies of the company for non-standard RFPs and contractual
requests. Interfaces with customers and members of the Legal,
financial/revenue recognition, business unit, sales, and other
stakeholder teams to bring deals to closure. Analyzes business,
financial, and legal risks and develops and communicates creative
solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiation points.
Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in
making informed decisions. Complies with audit, financial (e.g.,
Sarbanes-Oxley), and system requirements and assists in resolving
post-execution non- standard contract modification requests and
disputes.Responsibilities:
- Manages contracts operations responsible for provision of
contracts support of standard and non-standard customer-facing
transactions, as well as resolving post-contract disputes for two
or more sales or business groups within a country or
sub-region.
- Drives a high performance culture, including setting and
monitoring goal achievement and closely coaching/managing poor
performance.
- Ensures alignment of activities with overall priorities of
company Sales operations, legal, and company business unit(s).
- Executes overall contracts support strategy to focus on high
value activities.
- Takes an active role in mentoring, coaching, developing, and
performance managing team members to ensure that they have the
knowledge and expertise required not only to successfully identify
and counsel internal business owners on significant contractual and
business risks, but also to assist contracts negotiators and
business teams to close significant customer facing contracts for
company.
- Fosters teamwork and encourages effective communication within
the team.
- Builds strong relationships with the company's legal
colleagues, senior business owners, sales leaders, support
function, as well as customers to facilitate effective escalations
and efficient customer contractual issues.
- Acts as trusted advisor to country senior sales and business
leaders in assigned areas of responsibility.Education and
Experience Required:
- First level university degree required; advanced university
degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Typically 7-10 years of customer-facing contracts functional
support or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability as subject matter expert in one or more
contracts functional areas, combined with significant experience
providing contracts support to multi-business unit deals.Knowledge
and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of key policies, processes, and
practices applicable to closing standard and non-standard
contracts.
- Excellent knowledge of Network as a Service/IaaS/PS contracts,
industry and market competitors
- Advanced understanding of company products, service offerings,
and capabilities.
- Superior knowledge of key business and contractual risks.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to develop teams.
- Strong contracts support skills.
- Ability to make recommendations and decisions on operational
functions and day-to-day tactical approaches.
- Ability to influence different functions, geographies and build
consensus where lines of authority may not be direct, both inside

range for this position in the listed states is provided below.
Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic
location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.
