The Cloud Security group within SBG focuses on developing cloud-delivered security solutions (SaaS based) in a platform-centric approach. This group values and nurtures innovation in an incredibly powerful and high-growth domain. The group was formed by combining some of the existing cloud assets Cisco had with two hugely successful acquisitions - OpenDNS and CloudLock. Our vision is to build the most complex security solutions in a cloud-delivered way with utmost simplicity - disrupt the industry's thinking around how deep and how broad a security solution can be while keeping it easy to deploy and simple to manage. We are at an exciting stage of this journey with 100% YoY growth, and looking for a hard-working, innovative, and productive engineering leader for our Product and Infra Engineering group to help us scale our business.

We have a highly scalable cloud infrastructure spread across 40+ data centers where we run our cloud security applications that operate at a massive scale - 500B+ requests per day from 65M+ daily active users.

What You'll Do

--- You will lead geographically distributed large engineering teams to drive our SSE / SASE services offering including traffic acquisition and infrastructure services

--- You will lead key transformational initiatives including cloud-native IPSEC headend, ZTNA including building & operating services in the public cloud.

--- You will drive operational excellence by managing the team to KPIs and implementing effective processes and systems that enable the organization to enterprise scale.

--- Partner with multi-functional core stakeholders within engineering, product management, and field teams to lead the technology direction and facilitate key technical decision points.

--- Collaborate with multiple engineering groups within Cisco to drive E2E solutions and enable leveraging of technologies.

--- Work closely with Product leads to drive product and technology strategy.

--- Build a culture of execution excellence coupled with innovation.

--- Build a team of hard-working and passionate leaders as we scale.

Who You Are

--- Strong track record of leadership in technology strategy, managing large organizations (100+ engineers) delivering and operating widely deployed SaaS products.

--- Track record of delivering products through one of the main Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP

--- Experience in leading and collaborating with teams across time zones.

--- Background in driving agile and lean practices, DevOps culture, and iterative customer feedback-based development.

--- Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred

Highly Desirable Skills

--- Strong technical expertise in networking technologies and cloud architectural patterns. Key technology areas include HTTP/HTTPS, Proxy, API services, Containerization, Micro-services, Application monitoring, and Elastic scaling.

--- Expertise in Security domain - exposure to network and web security technologies and industry trends - firewalls, web security, intrusion detection, and prevention systems, and DNS-based security

--- Good working knowledge of emerging cyber threats and threat intelligence techniques to detect and remediate threats.
