If you want to work fully remote for a growing independent insurance agency that values its people and work/life balance, this new role is for you.
My client is an independent insurance agency located in the Sacramento, CA area. They want to hire a new licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager to support one broker is rapidly growing his book. A good chunk of the book is contractors and the agency is on TAM going to EPIC next year.
They offer fully paid benefits, all IT to do the job, and lots of autonomy. You will be the right hand to the producer and you will get 20% of the first year agency commission on any new line you add to the book on top of your base salary.
Key job aspects:
Market account renewals and negotiate with company underwriters; present customer with best program. Begin marketing 90 days prior to the renewal date.
--- Utilize TAM system for efficient and relevant workflow implemented.--- Process client service requests and submit information to the company, including insurance documents, proposals, and applications for new/renewal business.--- Review new business, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements; process and transmit to clients.--- Verify accuracy of premium transactions issued by companies, including commission differences.--- Prepare proposals; maintain complete copies of policies.--- Prepare invoicing in accordance with company standards.--- Review monthly renewals up to 120 days in advance of expiration.--- Participate in formal account reviews; assist in account rounding.--- Maintain knowledge of all lines of coverage.--- Follow agency procedures and insurance company regulations.--- Function as primary client service contact.--- Maintain accuracy of files and entries.--- Maintain awareness of market conditions, changes, and current legislation.
Candidates need to have worked on TAM before, have strong insurance coverage knowledge with contractors and other middle market risks, be able to manage a renewal start to finish without the aid of a producer, and know how to market a risk and negotiate with underwriters.
Note to remote candidates: For ease of working with the team and the clients, the agency wants their new Account Manager to reside in one of the PST states (AZ or AK are okay).
The client would like to hire their new Account Manager before the end of the year if possible. This is a great long-term opportunity with an agency that is not looking to sell.
