Make yourself at home with us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The SEO Manager is responsible for strategic support and tactical SEO initiatives to support The role will help lead and support a variety of SEO initiatives including on-page and off-page optimizations, keyword research, technical SEO, competitive analysis, reporting and measurement, and other enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical and has a deep understanding of search engine optimization best practices and industry standards to ensure content is optimized to increase traffic and rankings. This role will support the Associate SEO Director and will not have any direct reports at this time. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic efforts for site optimization that result in increasing keyword rankings and organic traffic -
  • Collaborate with content teams to provide keyword and competitive research, review page content and layout, write meta data, and provide SEO strategy for new and existing pages
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives for ongoing optimizations, ensuring best practices are being used, coordinating with development teams, monitoring issues and recommending fixes
  • Continually monitor and provide insights on SEO performance using reports and creating dashboards to measure performance and communicate progress
  • Support site and content migration efforts, including redirect mapping, pre- vs post-launch audits, content reviews, navigation recommendations, duplicative content reviews, etc.
  • Lead the keyword target strategy and maintain tracking campaigns in various tools like BrightEdge and SEMRush -
  • Identify SEO and content opportunities based on ongoing audits, site analytics, competitive research and gap analysis, user behavior, and best practices to consistently make optimization recommendations to increase our organic visibility
  • Execute on SEO roadmap and manage projects with cross-functional teams, measuring and communicating results
  • Identify new and emerging SEO opportunities, best practices, and industry updates
  • Build enterprise knowledge and evangelize SEO best practices throughout the organization

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of SEO experience
    • Proven track record of leveraging SEO tools to meet customer & partner needs
    • Ability to work Central Standard Time (CST) hours
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination may be -an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.       • 4+ years managing SEO initiatives
      • Experience using SEO tools like: SEMRush, BrightEdge, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Google Data Studio
      • Experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Experience Manager

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
