Manager with working knowledge of product development, debug, and
semiconductor and consumer product reliability. The selected
individual will work closely with internal Lumileds teams, external
supplier(s), and key Lumileds customer(s) to lead day-to-day
technical programs for direct application of advanced product
technology driven by customer requirements. What You Will Do:
- Lead technical programs, as an individual contributor,
supporting reliability evaluations and failure analysis in support
of the strategy for customer(s) and in line with Lumileds core
values
- Engage early in the product development cycle providing quality
& reliability support in FMEA activities, control plan development,
process flow activities, etc.
- Design experiments to investigate and evaluate product
performance in long-term reliability based on use conditions
defined jointly with customer(s)
- Coordinate with world-wide Reliability team to ensure on-time
execution and on-time reporting of experimental and reliability
test results for sharing internally and with customer(s)
- Liaise with Global and Regional teams (e.g., Product/Process
Development, Operations, Characterization, FA team) to ensure
technical activities are completed in a timely manner with added
focus on high quality results
- Respond to customer inquiries on product performance,
capabilities and, when necessary, organize activities to resolve
customer problems
- Summarize and communicate the results of the technical
activities and experiments to relevant stakeholders within the
Lumileds organization and to the customer(s) - Develop strong and
trusted relationship with customer(s) byo Representing Lumileds
world-wide Reliability team in customer facing meetings (one
voice)o Communicating clearly and concisely reliability plans,
actions, and resultso Providing timely and accurate communications
- Maintain clear and accurate records of technical activities
including program plans, description sheets, data summaries in a
manner consistent with program requirements
- Maintain knowledge in field of expertise through regular
literature reviews and attendance of appropriate conferences.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental,
health, and safety regulations and requirements.
- Comply with company policies.
- Travel up to 30% travel. What You Will Bring (Education)
Education - Bachelor's: 7 years' experience - Masters: 5 years'
experience - PhD: 3 years' experience Field of Study - Reliability
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material
Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields with CGPA 3.0 and
above What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications) - Ability to
work in a matrix organization with multi-cultural team, as well as
with customer(s) - Excellent interpersonal, communication,
presentation, organization, and influencing skills - Hands on
experience in reliability, failure analysis, and materials used in
semiconductor, optoelectronics, and consumer electronics -
Experience with failure root cause analysis methods (FMEA, 5 Whys,
Fishbone Diagram, etc.) - Successful program and project
management, and multi-project coordination experience - Familiarity
with product development cycles and transitions to mass production
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and works
