Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) Optum Insight Product is seeking a -Vice President, Product Management Leader -to provide growth, strategic, and portfolio leadership at the Optum Insight level, coordinating with other Optum entities and across Optum Insight market segment product organizations. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, influential leader, who is able to effectively translate strategic business opportunities into effective product line and product opportunities, has a keen ability to work between business and technology teams to bridge the gaps, and has 10+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a healthcare setting. They should have proven success in product management, ideally with P&L accountability, understand the complex health care landscape, and be able to actively engage with the marketing team and growth office to drive cross-functional portfolio prioritization. - -The successful candidate for this role will also have a proven track record of managing highly matrixed teams and delivering solutions that are commercially successful which achieve Optum Insight's growth goals, strategic plans and delight our clients. - The role has the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as he or she takes on tough and stimulating healthcare analytics challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as principal Product Management leader for Optum Insight
  • Develop the Optum Insight Product Strategy that articulates the vision from today's market segment products advancing to achieve desired growth aligned to the Long-Range Plan
  • Represent the OptumI nsight Product Portfolio to the Optum Insight executive leadership team
  • Identify strategic opportunities to advance existing capabilities and generate new ideas to enhance customer experience and drive growth
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Growth Office to bring a comprehensive market and lifecycle to portfolio managment.
  • Lead Product Merger and Acquisition efforts for Optum Insight
  • Lead the Optum Insight Senior Product Council with representatives from each market segment, the Product Office and key matrix partners
  • Coordinate Product initiatives across UHG as the Optum Insight principal
  • Manage the Optum Insight capital budget to deliver growth expectations for revenue and margin and continue strategic development that bridges across market segments in support of Long-Range Plan imperatives
  • Serve as coach/mentor during a period of rapid growth, including participating in recruiting and driving forward career development You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree (BBA / BA Business highly desired)
    • 10+ years of experience in Product Management / Marketing and Managing those Organizations
    • 10+ years of experience working in Healthcare, Payers or Providers
    • 5+ years of Capital Budget experience
    • Successful Product P&L experience - Preferred Qualifications:
      • MBA or MHA degree
      • AIPMM Product Management / Marketing (CPM or CPMM) certification -
      • 10+ years of experience in product management or product marketing (full lifecycle)
      • Solid analytical skills, including proficiency in discovering customer business needs and translating them into functional and technical -requirements
      • Experience with Aha! and/or Rally -
      • Ability to analyze complex systems and comprehend the complexity and dependencies
      • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks
      • Experience working independently as well as in a team environment and managing complex product management scenarios
      • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
      • Experience building, leading, and managing highly matrixed, cross-functional initiatives, including a deep understanding of how to structure initiatives and all related operational functions
      • Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones
      • Deep experience in understanding health ecosystem - understand parameters around how payers and providers are working, how they work together, and how analytics enables strategic transformation and growth
      • Solid experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and prototyping tools
