TeamThe Roku Global Safety + Security team is an enterprise
function, focused on enabling the business and keeping our
workforce safe and secure. We are a multi-disciplinary, diverse,
global team, that is integrated into all segments of the
corporation.About The RoleThe Roku Global Safety + Security (GSS)
team is scaling its 24/7 risk monitoring, mitigation, and response
capabilities and needs an experienced leader to build and manage a
world-class threat + risk intelligence analysis program.As Director
of Global Threat + Risk Intelligence, you will greatly influence
our mission to protect Roku's assets, people, operations, events,
and brand. You will lead risk-related tasks including the
assessment of threats to company properties; produce risk
advisories and travel safety programing; and provide analytical
support of our executive protection initiatives. You will lead and
resolve relevant internal and external investigations globally. You
will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and
quality control of analytical products, tracking and appropriately
assessing relevant trends, and providing briefings to stakeholders.
You will contribute to the Workplace Violence Prevention and Threat
Assessment Team programs, as well as Roku's Crisis Management and
Business Continuity plans.You will build the tactical analytical
team as part of the Global Security Operations Center; therefore,
we're seeking a senior-level risk professional who excels in
people, vendor, and technology management, who writes and presents
data at a high level, and who will thrive in exciting,
technology-driven environments. Successful candidates must be able
to assess Roku's current risk exposure, aptly envision and plan for
the risks ahead; be able to create a program that provides value to
the business, execute on a strategic vision and be willing to
continuously pressure test, analyze, and evolve the program to meet
the ever-changing threat landscape.What You'll Be DoingThreat
Management + Travel Safety
- Build and proactively manage the threat and risk intelligence
program, including analysis and reporting to inform operational
decisions and provide awareness to company stakeholders
- Oversee all physical security risk mitigation programs and
analytical team, including the Security Operations Center program,
executive security support, crisis management and business
continuity
- Monitor government and private sector intelligence sources;
provide appropriate analysis and recommendations
- Appropriately leverage resources, technology, information, and
tactics in a manner that protects Roku's reputation and minimizes
physical risk
- Help build the travel safety program with an emphasis on duty
of care for employees. This includes developing trainings,
providing briefings, and monitoring, forecasting, and reacting to
geopolitical and security risks globally
- Serve as an expert resource in determining the need for
protective services risk mitigation for executive travel
itineraries, leadership team meetings, and off-site
eventsManagement & Partnerships
- Be able to manage a diverse team, be a good teacher, and able
to articulate clear requirements
- Excel at managing multiple priorities and escalating
significant issues to senior-level management as necessary, while
providing reasonable solutions
- Participate effectively in crisis management activations and
contribute to business continuity initiatives
- Leveraging GSS vendors and government partners to collaborate
with Trust + Engineering to provide monitoring, response,
analytical, and investigative support
- Help build and participate in Roku's Threat Assessment Team,
training and exercises
- Manage a POI/GOI Threat database to track trends and
proactively mitigate avoidable risk
- Manage and lead investigative work streams involving internal
stakeholders
- Establish and nurture intelligence sharing relationships inside
and outside the organizationCompliance + Governance
- Create clear governance/playbooks and escalation procedures and
pressure-test for compliance
- Value metrics and analytics. Develop a metrics dashboard that
articulates appropriate return-on-investment
- Help build consistent and measurable risk assessment tools +
processes for determining and mitigating physical security
vulnerabilities for use by the Operations team
- Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the
methodologies, tools, and techniques to enable the team to scale
and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk
- Remain up to date on emerging security trends that may impact

If You Have
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Program building experience
- Team management and leadership capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective
writer/speaker with experience distilling communications based on
the target audience
- Demonstrated passion for corporate security, investigations,
analysis and problem-solving
- Understanding of all aspects of threat and risk lifecycle
management
- Third party vendor management experience (including budgeting
and forecasting)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience working with highly confidential information
independently and under pressure, with competing deadlines
- Demonstrated experience completing multiple tasks
simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with
minimal supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally with
members at all levels of an organization
- Security briefing experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e. occasionally work
days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as neededExtra Credit
- Master's degree in security, intelligence, policy, or a related
field or equivalent experience
- Global work experience and expertise
- Previous work in a startup environment
