talented Senior Product Manager passionate about building services
and exceptional experiences through beautifully crafted
Integrations & SDKs. PM for the API/SDK merchant Integrations team
responsible for building products that enable developers(that are
helping merchants) to easily build great payment experiences and
help PayPal build robust server side payment processing
capabilities.
Qualifications
--- Experience building developer facing products and an
appreciation for the "developer" persona
--- Have a point of view and a perception on what makes a "good"
developer experience
--- Familiarity and experience evaluating and enabling experience
across the broad spectrum of developer touch points - API/SDK,
other external and internal tools
--- Broad Appreciation of API design principles and a maturity to
understand e2e Integration Experience as perceived by a
developer
--- Prior experience building KPIs/Metrics focused on Developer
Interactions particularly concepts such as TTFHW (Time to First
Hello World) and others as appropriate
--- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the
ability to adapt your message to the technical level of the
audience (developers, product managers and senior business
leaders)
--- Have a strong degree of technical fluency that allows you to
communicate with and understand your target audience (developers),
translating their needs into clear product strategy
Responsibilities
--- Product Owner for the merchant API/SDK team which is
responsible to build products that enable simple and flexible APIs
& SDKs.
--- Prioritize and maintain a balance between on-going
maintenance/bugs, new feature requests and a need to keep
server-side integrations simple & flexible and continuously
evolving with changes in technology and competitor landscape
--- Ability to do a "tear-down" exercise competitor or other
best-in-class products to inform areas of improvement or trends
that we can learn from.
--- Gain an "outside-in" perspective by speaking with a
cross-section of developers and/or internal client facing teams
with a goal to build a case to continuously evolve the API
interfaces.
--- Define metrics & KPIs to demonstrate "success" and "progress"
as it relates to overall developer satisfaction.
--- Understand the complexities of the payment integration
landscape and identify areas where PayPal can continue to
differentiate as it relates to your product area
--- Partner with cross-functional teams within PayPal to build
products and constantly innovate by evangelizing the team's
objectives and wins to influence peers and senior management
--- Provide the right level of support and direction to keep the
engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall
product strategy
--- Participate in regular cadences (stand up's, retrospective,
planning meeting) and be engaged with the team throughout the
product life cycle
--- Engage with teams (Sales, Marketing, Professional Services)
across PayPal to help Pilot and Launch enhancements / improvements
with a goal towards improving adoption
