As General Manager, Era, you will be responsible for building, scaling and ultimately for the success of Era , Nutanix's innovative database management solution. You will lead a global team of talented engineers and product managers who are dedicated to building out secure, scalable and robust database management. This is a GM leadership position offering the opportunity to not only design, shape and deliver the product, but to also influence the go-to-market and customer adoption of Era. You will be responsible for driving the success of Era in a fast-paced environment. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale a fast-growing start-up within a larger, innovative public company with the benefit of an established customer base and go-to-market engine. What you can expect to work on:

• Overall responsibility for the success of Era, with direct management of Engineering and Product Management, and influence over go-to-market and customer support
• Cross-functional leadership and collaboration to drive business outcomes for Era
• Articulate the vision and value-proposition for Era to customers and partners
• Lead and develop the product vision, strategy and roadmap to ensure excellent technical and architectural decision-making across the Engineering and Product Management teams
• Provide technical leadership in defining and delivering the product roadmap
• Collaborate with the go-to-market organization to drive continued growth and adoption of Era
• Recruit and retain world-class talent--
• Build and maintain a culture of speed, excellence, collaboration, mentorship, and open feedback--
• Manage resources effectively and efficiently -- What you need to succeed:
  • Proven ability to envision, architect, design and deliver innovative software in a fast-paced environment--
  • Experience in database management software and/or cloud computing
  • Focus on customer needs and experience
  • Experience as a General Manager for a product or business unit is preferred; or the proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive business outcomes
  • Ability to define and articulate the vision for Era to customers, partners and other stakeholders
  • Experience with running products/infrastructure on public cloud at scale is a plus
  • Knowledge of file sharing solutions and/or storage systems is a plus
