RTP, North Carolina, Remote US or Canada Area of Interest Customer Experience Job Type Professional *None Job Id 1307813 Manager, CX Operate Product Management Job Description: What You'll Do When you join the CX Operate product management team you will play a key role in defining and delivering our Managed and As-a-Service product portfolios. Our offers enable partners and customers to quickly adopt new technologies and grow their business as we take care of operating an aspect of their environment that frees them up to focus on their strategic priorities. You will be a player-coach both leading a Collaboration portfolio focused team of product management professionals and be hands on with knowing market trends, building relationships with the collaboration business unit and ensuring that we design and maintain market relevant managed services that help our customers achieve their business objectives. As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for several areas of managed services offers where success is determined by value proposition and financial pro forma realization. The value proposition addresses why the customer invested in the solution from Cisco and the business benefit expected. You will be the steward for offers achieving their financial objectives, including bookings, revenue, and margin, by defining the initial business plan and aligning cross functional team execution toward meeting/exceeding the plans. Consistent with Product Management best practices, you'll lead from strategy through to execution for the life of your offers. You will meet with customers and partners to understand their collaboration needs and forward-looking plans. You will translate those into business requirements and collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to deliver services that meet market needs and plan enhancements during the lifecycle of the services. You will be the subject matter expert for the service strategy and design, working closely with delivery for execution excellence. This position is located in Raleigh, NC however other US based locations will be considered and will involve some travel (mostly domestic, likely not exceed 10%). What you'll be responsible for: -- Understand the Managed Services product space and the competitive nature of the solutions, working closely with the product BU to ensure alignment of our offers. -- Analyze market trends to identify the mid & long-term business opportunity -- Understand customers, their business needs, and the overall ecosystem to define offer enhancements that will delight our customers and benefit our shareholders. -- Develop a portfolio strategy and roadmap with your team that aligns to Cisco's objectives. -- Lead a team of product manager(s), architect(s) and engineer(s) that will design, build and execute on product management offers from concept to end of sale -- As a subject matter expert on your portfolio you will present on offer value and outcomes to customers, partners and internal Cisco audiences. -- Work with the PM team to make data-driven decisions and prioritize between multiple opportunities competing for resources. Achieve alignment of stakeholders across the organization all the way up to senior executives. -- Work closely with go to market, marketing, enablement, engineering, and other delivery teams at every stage of the product development lifecycle. -- Understand the partner role and channel implications of any offers we develop. -- Measure the success of our undertakings by identifying and tracking key financials and metrics. -- Work with other CX product management teams to align and drive innovation and competitive differentiation to extend product value proposition for target operators. Who You'll Work With In this role, you'll work closely with various roles in Product Management, and cross CX and Cisco including sales, business development, partner organization, regional leaders, Cisco engineering, and other groups to help create and maintain an aligned and simplified portfolio. Externally, you'll regularly interface with 3rd party vendors, service providers and their customers to leverage capabilities and understand business needs. You will own your product end to end, and you will lead the delivery through cross-functional teams. Who You Are You are passionate about the role of product management. You have excellent leadership, business acumen, and soft skills along with supporting customer experience, market knowledge, and technical skills. You can comfortably interact with senior VPs as well as engineers. Finally, you gain fulfillment from business transformation and exceptional results with an entrepreneurial mindset. What you'll need: -- More than 5 years of services or software product management experience, ideally including XaaS products. -- Strong understanding/experience of collaboration technologies and the collaboration market including Voice, Video and Contact Center. -- A good understanding of and experience in managed services -- More than 3 years of experience managing people and leading a team focused on an agreed plan to meet project and financial goals. -- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions, strong problem-solving ability and can work within an ambiguous environment and manage change. -- Strong leadership skills and experience in leading cross functional projects and building strong relationships across the organization. -- Demonstrated experience of working closely with customers and/or business partners listening to their input and translating that into requirements for the product roadmap where appropriate. -- Excellent communication skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives, partners and customers.
