Job Ad Template OU.LOCATION Work in a fast paced environment to support state of the artmicrowave subsystems for use in high reliability militaryapplications. Primary responsibilities include the mechanicaldesign, analysis, and packaging of electromechanical systems. Other responsibilities will include manufacturing support, design oftooling to support operations, and mentoring young engineers. Key Responsibilities: Interface with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers,machinists, technicians, assemblers and/or directs staff toexecute task. Provide engineering support to production on existing productsTake leadership role in resolving technical issues.Lead for mechanical design, tooling and documentation of highcomplexity electronic modules, subsystems and programs.Provide overall mechanical expertise on multi-programs andsubsystems, including primary interface with customers andcoordination of program standards; provide design and detaildrawing direction to mechanical designers.Create, check and release formal documentation and/or directsdesign staff to execute task.Collaborate with and/or direct machinists, technicians,assembler and suppliers to execute hardware builds and tests;Perform thermal, structural, weight and tolerance analysis onhardware to validate designDevelop and design tooling and fixtures as needed. Write-up Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to productiondrawings, support failure analysis and corrective actionsimplementation.Prepare and present technical information to internal andexternal customers.Ensure product compliance to specification, schedule and costrequirements.Participate in safety training and actively comply with safetypolicies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or Science related field.7+ years engineering experience in a high tech industry or at least 5 years experience with a Master's degree in Engineering or Science related field.Experience with 3D modeling software (preferably SolidWorks)and a 2D CAD package such as DraftSight or AutoCADCandidate must have great communication skills, both writtenand oral and must be able to coordinate efforts and work closelywith a wide variety of groups within the business. In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must beeligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, whichrequires USA Citizenship.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Microwave/Millimeter wave packaging.Minimum 2 years experience in a defense related industry.Some experience with electromechanical packaging with anemphasis on adhering to weight and thermal constraints andrequirements.Solid understanding of FEA modeling software such asSolidWorks Simulation, Floworks, etc.Experience with RF interconnects and connectors, cables, andrelated hardware.Experienced interacting with machine shops and related metalfabrication vendors.Knowledge of enterprise wide PLM system such as Enovia, Agileor equivalent.
