Job Description:
US Foods, a premier foodservice distributor, is seeking a
skilled Refrigeration Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair
refrigeration units within our transportation fleet, ensuring our
extensive range of food products are delivered under optimal
conditions. This role is crucial in upholding our commitment to
provide outstanding service and products to our clientele. The
successful candidate will work within our Transportation &
Logistics department, focusing on the maintenance of refrigeration
systems used in our fleet of delivery trucks. Perform routine
maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration units and
associated equipment within the fleet. Diagnose and repair
mechanical and electrical components of refrigeration systems.
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and operational
standards. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to
verify system integrity. Coordinate with logistics staff to
schedule repairs and minimize downtime. Maintain detailed records
of services and repairs for compliance and analysis. Proficiency in
the repair of Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units. Strong
problem-solving skills and detail-oriented. Ability to work
independently and manage multiple tasks. Familiarity with
Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification in
Refrigeration (T7) is highly desirable. EPA Section 608 Technician
Certification required.
