Position Details: Standard Plant Technician

--- Location: San Jose-CA
--- Shift: 8-5 M-F + on call
--- Compensation: $85-93k base plus 10% overtime and paid on call for 30 weekends a year ($5.4k)
--- 1st Year W2 - $98,900 - $107,700, 2nd Year W2 will increase by $8,320 upon completing certification
--- Benefits: Company vehicle for commuting (Estimated 12k in personal savings per year) Comprehensive health, dental, & vision
--- Travel: Daily coverage of 2-3 hour, and occasional overnight travel may be needed for training and other plant support- Covering 3 sites, one Richmond 1-2 days a month, Stockton 1ish times a month, but mainly at the 2 at San Jose Site. Occasionally backing up Roseville when necessary.

Position Description:
As a Standard Plant Technician, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of San Jose area plant locations. This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires proficiency in air separation plant technology and have knowledge / aptitude in mechanical systems, electrical systems, instrumentation, and process operation controls. The Plant Technician must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative in resolving issues, planning and completing required maintenance, and managing site operations. The technician must be on call and able to respond as needed.

Responsibilities:

--- Maintain all safety, quality, and compliance activities at each plant location
--- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on a variety of process equipment, including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gas analyzers, electrical controls systems, and pneumatic control valves
--- Manage own time to accomplish operations and maintenance tasks for assigned plants which include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving plant problems
--- Coordinate contractors and resources, both internally and externally, to support the plant activities, audits, and all administrative requirements for the plant
--- Maintain and improve plant efficiency
--- Assist or direct the training and development of new employees
