Trackonomy is headquartered in San Jose, California, in the heart
of Silicon Valley.
We are currently seeking a Manager, Hardware Engineering, to
oversee the hardware engineering department and the workflow of all
hardware engineers. You will be the point of contact for all
hardware requests and design reviews.
- Empower the hardware team to achieve high reliability,
simplicity, and productivity.
- Drives the development of new products that are aligned with
the company's business strategy
- Handle schedules
- Provides functional engineering expertise in hardware,
firmware, and system integration and test to the product
- Utilizes project management skills to achieve timely execution
of multiple, simultaneous projects through effective resource
allocation, work prioritization, and efficient task
- Utilizes technical problem-solving skills to lead teams to
determine root cause and appropriate corrective/preventative
- Collaborates effectively across departments to prioritize
support issues, track and communicate progress to goals
- Anticipates emerging risks and develops plans to efficiently
manage longer-term work
- Assembles and manages highly effective engineering teams
through professional development, goal setting, and performance
- Drives outcomes while maintaining engagement and, where
possible, team consensus by utilizing strong leadership
- Guides teams to create new and follow established processes and
champion process improvements for greater efficiency,
effectiveness, and quality
- Maintains compliance with applicable regulations, quality
standards, internal policies, and safety regulations
- Know Altium Schematic and PCB design tools.
- Know mechanical engineering and product design.
- Understands component-level electronics, including popular
interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
- Seven + years experience as an Electrical Engineering
- History of managing team sizes in excess of 10 local and remote
engineers over different time zones.
- Understands design for manufacturability in multiple domains,
including electronics, mechanical, and production in
- Can operate in a very fast-paced environment.
- Easily interface with multiple departments while maintaining an
organized flow for your own department.
