Job Description:

DUTIESAs with any hands-on position, individual duties may be directly undertaken by the Quality Engineer or delegated to a subordinate. The following duties all fall within the responsibilities of the position: Monitor and manage activities and priorities for all subordinate positions (Q.A. Supervisor, Q.A. Engineer and Q.A. Inspectors, QA Supplier Engineering). Coordinate, monitor, and manage Corrective Action (CAPA) process and activities. Oversee process control and documentation in support of ISO compliance and perform periodic ISO internal audits. Manage ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, UL, and FDA audits. Manage Customer and Supplier audits. Author quality procedures and inspection procedures as required. Lead Quality Management Reviews as required by Applied Engineering QMS and follow up on action items as needed. Monitor KPI performance and corrective actions. Other Duties as assigned.QUALITY & PERFORMANCEPerformance metrics for this position are related to the overall Quality performance of the company. Specifically, the Quality Engineer must provide reliable, consistent management of the Corrective Action process; s/he must also provide a level of ISO-compliance awareness, analysis, and management consistent with resources allocated to these functions.REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION The Quality Engineer must have a minimum of 8 years experience in manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies and capital equipment. Direct experience and education are also needed in Quality processes, Quality programs, and ISO-related activities such as audits, qualifications, and certifications. 4-year technical degree or equivalent training and work experience is required. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, problem-solving, decision-making, analysis, and leadership skills. Should have knowledge of GDT and best measurement practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills Self-motivated and able to perform job requirements with little to no supervision Must demonstrate high proficiency in Excel for data analytics, SPC, pareto charts, regression analysis, etc. Familiarity with Visio preferred Comply with company policies and safety regulations.Physical RequirementsRequired to sit, stand and walk as a normal daily work posture.
