available to come join our team. PMTS Product Development Engineer
The RoleAMD-AECG is looking for PMTS Product Development Engineer
to drive & shape next generation architecture & design enabling
advanced products achieve industry's leading performance, yield &
reliability. The position provides a rich learning environment that
is highly cross-functional with architecture, design, process
technology, test, reliability, manufacturing and provides for
unique leadership opportunities. The position is within the Global
Operations Pathfinding & Program Management Group based in San
Jose, CA. Position is open for remote location also for the most
suitable candidateThe Person
- Proactive & willingness to work as an individual and as part of
a team to deliver a product which is debug, test & yield friendly
starting from spec creation, design, verification, and finally to
productization
- The ideal candidate should have experienced a complete ASIC
product life cycle from initial architecture definition, design,
verification, packaging, silicon fabrication, test & DFT, Wafer
Sort, Final/Package test, characterization burn-in/reliability,
yield and diagnosis Key Responsibilities
- Define and own manufacturing success criteria for test, cost,
yield, performance, schedule & reliability
- Understanding advanced product features & driving early
planning for manufacturability requirements, highlighting test
coverage holes & disruption score card creation for guidance to
functional leads
- Define and drive X-functional technical requirements, test
strategy - structural & functional test, system level debug,
characterization & yield enhancement across architecture, IP design
& product validation
- Document and communicate product features and dependencies that
drive new methodologies or infrastructures; list of key deltas from
previous products, performance features, changes in DFT etc
- Work with design verification teams to ensure DFT
implementation & verification for optimized test times
- Perform & review characterization data analysis across PVT &
develop anchor and chiplet performance metrics, binning strategies
& assessing PPA enhancement impact on manufacturability
- Drive HW friendly probe pad design strategies keeping power
delivery, efficiency and integrity in check
- Define preliminary SW & FCV support requirements for physical
device model & testing
- Develop data management & automated tool flow requirements for
NPI planning & execution
- Organize & track progress on key deliverables, issue list &
effectively communicate the rationale for assigned actions to
stakeholders & drive for closure
- Generate technical reports & present project progress during
periodic engineering reviews
- Direct customer interaction for some products on definition,
manufacturing capability assessment and issue debug/mitigation
Preferred Experience
- Experience in product and test engineering preferably in
various market areas such as HPC, data center, emulation,
automotive & telecom
- Proven experience in the architectural definition and
development of the chip from backend operations and
manufacturability point of view
- Proven project leader with effective ability to manage
simultaneous design development activities & coordinate deployment
of sophisticated features across geo-distributed locations with
varied schedules
- Experience in various aspects of DFT - SCAN, ATPG, BSCAN,
MBIST, AMS BIST in particular for SERDES, ADC/DACs
- Working knowledge of ATE, test hardware, test time modeling,
product validation, test data management, analysis, yield
improvement
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with the ability to
influence key partners with fact-based approach. Must be a team
