Job Title: High Voltage Engineer Job Location: San Jose, CA / Irvine, CA/IL/TX
Job Description :Foxconn Interconnect Technology is seeking Engineers specifying and designing high voltage harness, high voltage surrounding components of EV (electric vehicle). The position will include collaborate with customer engineer on the high voltage harnessing products such as HV wire harness, HV connectors, HV charging inlet
Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Be the first level go-to person to work with customer for HV harnessing design
• Lead the engineering activity to ensure products meet customer specification
• Support customer 3D CAD proposal and internal drawing release
• Selection of appropriate connectors, contacts, wire, shielding, and cable
• Participate in concept design reviews, and DFMEA with customer
• Participate in HV products mockup making and DOEs with Asia team
• Write test requests and create technical report
• Development and execution of validation plans with Asia team
• Support system-level testing and validation of HV electrical hardware
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for technical issues
  Education, Skill, & Experience
  
  • Minimum B.S. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with HV harnessing and connection system of EV
  • Able to follow APQP processes for project documentation
  • Familiarity with vehicle standards for HV harnessing, cables, and connectors
  • Familiarity with high voltage electrical system
  • Familiarity with applicable standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508, ISO 20076, ISO 17409, IEC 62196, and SAE J-2293
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem definition and solving techniques
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work among cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling of harnesses and harness systems
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling capability (CATIA, Solid works, or UG)
  • Knowledge of harnessing manufacturing process.
  • Able to work within a diverse global team with varying levels of experience.
