Responsibilities Job Description SummaryThe manufacturing
systems engineer is responsible for devising tests, setting
specifications, leading, and maintaining manufacturing tests and
training programs for associates in Operations. Responsible for the
documentation, implementation, qualification, deployment,
maintenance, and support of test fixtures, test workstations and
test tools. Create Electronic Device History Record by implementing
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in production. Help resolve
and implement corrective action for technical issues in
Manufacturing to ensure closure. Participate in efforts to
generate, maintain system test definitions and requirements working
with cross functional teams and automate assembly and test
processes in Manufacturing. Engage and assist in design concepts,
reviews, and feasibility studies. Job Description Be Part of

test specification requirements at subassembly and system levels
and train production personnel. Automate assembly and test
processes to help reduce cycle time Implement Manufacturing
Execution System (MES) in Manufacturing to document and track the
conversion of raw materials to finished goods, incorporate
paperless workflow processes, to improve Manufacturing operations
traceability and create electronic Device History Record (eDHR)
Design, develop and maintain Manufacturing tests of
electro-mechanical assemblies and administer training to
Manufacturing associates. Develop and maintain tools and fixtures
for electro-mechanical assemblies Help test personnel fix
non-conforming assemblies/systems and develop the capability to
test systems. Drive improvement and development decisions
Responsible for the qualification of beads and generation of
specifications for all instruments in Operations Develop and
implement formal and informal Test, Verification, Validation and
Qualification protocols. Work with New Product Introduction,
Product Development, Test Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical
Hardware teams to define, implement manufacturability criteria, and
develop procedures and processes for assembly, PCBAs, systems and
sub-systems test procedures including fixtures during the
development process and ensure that designs and procedures are
validated prior to production release Provide technical support to
a wide range of problems pertaining to specific programs and
projects - Work with R&D, Test and NPI Engineering teams during
Prototype and Pilot builds Work with engineering teams to develop
and complete validation and verification protocols, followed by the
analysis and reporting of results. Perform field failure
investigations, identify root causes, and participate in corrective
and preventive action efforts Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a
bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, e.g.,
Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Industrial or
Mechanical Minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing/Test
engineering in high-tech manufacturing environment Proficient with
SolidWorks Knowledge in engineering investigation techniques Must
have strong project management and Continuous Improvement
experience Ability to plan, develop, and execute assembly & test
procedures Must have experience in writing and reviewing
Engineering Change Orders Ability to promote teamwork and motivate
exempt and non-exempt associates Strong skills in developing
manufacturing processes, training Manufacturing personnel and
designing production cell layout Strong problem-solving and
troubleshooting skills Strong communication and interpersonal
skills Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation
skills Strong leadership and coaching skills Willingness to travel
when required Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft
Office software - Excel, Word, Visio, Project Familiarity with ISO
9001 and 13485 standards Experience in test fixture development and
test automation is desired Experience in LabVIEW programming is
desired Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills Strong
cGMP familiarity with compliance testing and 21 CFR part 820,
medical industry experience Knowledge of fluidic and optic
subassemblies is desired. For many roles at BD, employment is
