About the role - IT Executive Support Engineer The IT Executive Support Engineer will be part of the global End User Services organization. This team is responsible for providing Lumentum employee s ' a positive and frictionless IT experience . This position has defined responsibilities to support executive corporate leadership and executive team members. This role will leverage the successful candidate's technical knowledge to support and maintain Lumentum's desktop computing environment prioritizing the executive leadership team, the site, and participating globally to help fellow team members. This position is responsible for working in a security constructed mindset while ensuring work is carried out discreetly with extreme confidentiality. - The person in this role provides professional and timely support for a wide range of IT equipment and software. Using a proactive approach to issues and opportunities and a sense of urgency and accuracy supports Executive users within Lumentum . The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and self-directed , with the ability to independently prioritize and execute tasks in a fast -paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. - Duties and Responsibilities Exceptional communication and customer skills to provide timely and professional support. The role requires both o n-site and remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems . The focus of this role is supporting the executive team and extends to general end-users . The individual in this role will also recommend and implement corrective solutions. Display and execute with h igh standards of professionalism and integrity. Protects and maintains the privacy of employee information. Must have the a bility to explain technical issues in non-technical terms to end - users. Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor , and troubleshoot end-user systems, phones, and related hardware and software to meet desktop service levels. Light system administration tasks in Microsoft Active Directory and other application services as required. Assist in the maintenance and inventory management of all equipment, including PCs, monitors, laptops, printers, and other components. Document and enter activities in the ITSM platform and managing incidents proactively to resolution. Communicate problems and issues to management, development teams , and end-users. Assist with other duties as assigned. What experience will allow you tremendous success in this role? Know PC and laptop hardware components (external and internal). Reliable/demonstrated written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Possess the experience and capabilities required to support company executives and their senior teams. Prior experience in an end - user and executive support role. Have developed the knowledge or earned certifications in Windows workstation products and Microsoft Office suite. Experience using remote tools to support remote end-users and systems. Have participated in the automated operational management of a large number of systems (experience with Tanium, SCCM, or similar technology a plus).
Demonstrate direct working experience and knowledge on at least one industry collaboration platform (Skype For Business, RingCentral, Cisco Teams, Zoom, etc.). Ability to understand networks, their operation to troubleshooting end-user issues. ITILv4 certifications preferred, demonstrated familiarity , or prior ITIL certifications a definite plus. Experience working in an enterprise ITSM platform, i.e., ServiceNow. Strong analytical, communication, written troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Quick learner, can understand and apply existing and new technologies. Physically be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds of materials.
