JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Hardware Engineer Location: Neuspera Medical, Inc. headquarters in San Jose, CA LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Reporting To: Vice President of R&D JOB SNAPSHOT: Base Pay - Negotiable Employment Type ---Full-Time Job Type ---Engineer Education ---4 Year Degree Experience ---5+ years Manages Others ---No Industry ---Medical Devices Required Travel ---Limited PRIMARY FUNCTION: Neuspera Medical is seeking a Senior or Principal Hardware Engineer with embedded systems and medical device experience. The qualified candidate will be capable of evaluation, selection and the application of engineering design best practices, techniques, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing electronic hardware for internal and external use. The candidate should be capable of generating well-written design documentation and manufacturing instructions. The candidate must have the ability to lead requirements compliance, including verification, validation, and method traceability. Familiarity with design Configuration Management and Quality Control Processes is a plus. Experience in debugging and troubleshooting medical electrical systems is required. The ability to plan for and document verification test results is strongly desired. Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD is a plus) * Demonstrated experience in medical device engineering and electronic hardware design in industry or in project-based education * Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools * Experience in the use of python, C and ST microcontrollers desired * Ability to translate customer and user needs into accurate, actionable specifications * Familiarity with medical device safety and EMC standards such as IEC60601 * Results-driven, collaborative team player capable of working well with others * Strong verbal and written communication skills Work Environment:* Office and Laboratory * Limited travel
