The successful candidate is results-driven, highly motivated, and works effectively in a team environment. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work as part of a world-class engineering team and to contribute to the success of the Transmission Division.Responsibilities* Responsible for the design and development of coherent optical transceiver at 400 Gb/s* Schematic capture, working with the CAD engineer to layout circuit for high speed circuit* Selecting components for analog, digital, optical, and high-speed application* Assuring design for performance, manufacturability and cost.* Characterizing optical transceivers.* Characterizing optical sub-assemblies (TOSA/ROSA)* Carrying-on debugging on test stations and modules* Working with test and firmware engineering in the development of transceivers* Supporting qualification activities* Interacting with internal design engineers in US and overseas and external vendors* Participating and contributing to customer meetingsRequired Skills and Experience* MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Physics or equivalent education and experience* Experience developing various transceivers with market success* Extensive experience using high-speed optical and electrical equipment:--Scopes, Network traffic analyzer, Vector Analyzers, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Optical Attenuators, Wavelength meters, tunable filters, optical noise sources, etc.* Experience characterizing and troubleshooting high-speed optical transceivers.* Experienced user of HFSS or CST* Experience in programming the test script in Python* Knowledge of impairment in DWDM systems* Knowledge of high speed optoelectronic devices (e.g. lasers, detectors, modulators)* Multi-disciplinary background with a demonstrated record of innovation* Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
