Job Description Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in Telehealth services within an educational setting. This role requires providing clear and effective interpretation to facilitate communication for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students during virtual learning sessions and other telehealth-related activities. Key Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and proficient sign language interpretation for telehealth consultations, virtual classroom interactions, and educational meetings. Collaborate with educators, counselors, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions. Adapt interpreting strategies to effectively meet the needs of students in diverse learning environments. Support accessibility initiatives by promoting inclusive communication. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting skills. Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational or telehealth settings. Knowledge of telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools.
