Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Two
speech-language pathologist opportunities are available in Madera,
CA, serving K-12 students through teletherapy and onsite services.
Position 1 offers full-time hours (40 per week) with a preschool
caseload of 48 children, including 27 in special day classes and 21
in speech-only preschool programs. Responsibilities include
conducting assessments, leading Individualized Education Program
(IEP) meetings, and supervising a Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA). The role requires proficiency in managing
high-priority assessments and IEPs, along with the ability to
effectively supervise an SLPA. Position 2 is a part-time
opportunity at 25 hours per week, working with transitional
kindergarten to 2nd-grade students. This caseload includes
approximately 25 children with 15-20 receiving speech-only
services. Duties involve providing direct therapy, conducting
evaluations, and participating in IEP development. Applicants must
have current or recent experience working in a California public
school setting that utilizes the Special Education Information
System (SEIS). References from these districts within the last one
to two years are required, and direct communication with references
will be conducted as part of the screening process. Both positions
require candidates who are adept at delivering teletherapy and
onsite speech-language pathology services to meet diverse student
needs across preschool and early elementary levels. Key
qualifications: Experience with K-12 speech-language pathology
services in California schools using SEIS Ability to conduct
assessments, evaluations, and IEP meetings Skills in supervising
SLPAs (Position 1) Ready to manage varying caseloads and service
delivery methods including telespeech and teletherapy These
contract assignments extend through the current school year (CSY)
and provide opportunities to impact student communication outcomes.
