Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for dedicated Education Specialists/Special Education Teachers to join our team in Redwood City, CA! Job Details: Position 1 - Start: December 1st - June 4th 2026 - Full-time (8:30a-3:45p daily) - Age group: 9th grade (some 10th graders) - Caseload: 25-28 - Annual/tri-IEPs are minimum of 10 - Pay dependent on experience but starting at $50/hr Position 2 - Start: November 11th - December 19th - Full-time (8:30a-3:45p daily) - Age group: Primarily 12th graders (a few 11th graders) - Caseload: 25 students - May require attendance to 1 IEP - Pay dependent on experience but starting at $50/hr Qualifications: - Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution - Valid state license or certification for Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Education Specialist - Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs Responsibilities: As an Education Specialist with Birch Agency, you will: - Provide direct/group instructions to students with disabilities - Develop lesson plans/instructional material to meet needs of students IEP - Conduct educational assessments - Attend IEP meetings - Assist in planning and development of IEP - Facilitate implementation of special education services - Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team - Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners - Effectively communicate with parents/caregivers and staff to support students academic success - Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs - Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing - Employ techniques for positive behavioral support - Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions Benefits: - Competitive compensation package with benefits including health and dental insurance - 401(k) matching - Paid time off - Relocation assistance (if applicable) - Access to a supportive network of peers and mentors within Birch Agency Only candidates who are eligible to work in the US without sponsorship will be considered for the position Please contact Andrew Sanchez if you qualify and would like to be considered for the opportunity.
