Role and Responsibilities
Our team located in Austin (SARC) and San Jose (ACL) develops and productizes the GPU family currently shipping in Samsung Flagship Smartphone products (Galaxy S-series).
GPU Derivatives are also used broadly across the Samsung mobile SOC portfolio and within customer specific SOCs.
Samsung productizes a new generation of GPU every year, with 3 to 4 generations under development at any given time providing opportunities to contribute from early architect through volume production.
We are looking for a passionate Sr. Design Methodology and CAD Engineer to join our team. In this role you will learn, develop, and enhance Frontend build flows.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of front-end methodology and CAD Engineers
  • Define, develop and document frontend flows and methodology.
  • Quickly root cause, resolve, and enhance flow related issues,
  • Partner with CAD team to deploy new tools flows methodologies for front end RTL design.
  • Identify areas of improvement in current front-end flows and propose ideas. Work with cross-functional teams to drive changes. Skills and Qualifications
    Candidate Requirements:
    • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent along with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
    • 2+ years of experience in defining, developing and supporting RTL build tools, flows, and methodologies.
    • Familiar with front-end ASIC design flows in the industry.
    • Strong programming/scripting skills in programming languages such as Python/Ruby/Perl/Tcl and Shell/Make.
      Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparisons to other employees in the role. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:
      Colorado: Compensation is expected to be between
      $145,520.00 and $176,907.00
      NYC: Compensation is expected to be between
      $145,520.00 and $176,907.00
      Washington State: Compensation is expected to be between
      $171,600.00 and $208,612.00
      California: Compensation is expected to be between
      $171,600.00 and $208,612.00
      Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
