Job Description Job Description Purchaser: Key Responsibilities: Create and manage POs (purchase orders) using MRP software; track shipments and resolve any delivery issues Communicate with vendors regarding open orders, scheduling, and RFQs Communicate with the appropriate departments/purchase requesters about order statuses, including any order delays or issues Negotiate piercing, lead times, and terms with vendors Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials Buy items from our online vendors as required by our MRP (material requirement planning) software Make weekly, monthly, quarterly reports on PO's Work with the accounting department to research inaccuracies in receipts compared to invoices Obtain RMAs from supplies and process DMR parts through the system Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Doc/Sheets Detailed oriented Technical parts knowledge—electronic components are a plus! Qualifications: Prior experience as a Buyer/Purchaser in the scientific equipment manufacturing industry is heavily preferred Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
