It aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and management reports.We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our Global Finance team at Bytedance. Based in our San Jose office, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to Bytedance's success through product strategy planning, roll-out, and development. This role also involves serving as a strategic partner to key global functions, including Content Partnerships, Operations, Marketing, and Safety. The new hire will be expected to excel in project and team management.Key Responsibilities:1. Effective Business Partnering: Foster transparency, collaboration, and inclusion by providing effective business partnering within the organization.2. Strategic Financial Support: Offer strategic support and expert advice to senior finance directors and regional business leaders.3. Financial Planning Leadership: Lead the Financial Planning process for the product team, encompassing the development of short-term and long-term budget plans. Monitor budget implementation to ensure timely commitments and regularly update the budget/forecast.4. Financial Performance Analysis: Analyze the financial performance of the product team and generate performance improvement proposals for the headquarters and global leaders.5. Operational Optimization: Take responsibility for optimizing practices, policies, programs, procedures, and personnel activities to enhance efficiency.6. Risk Management: Proactively manage risks and opportunities, supporting regional and global projects.7. Market Analysis and Business Intelligence: Conduct regular industry analysis and Business Intelligence research to stay ahead of market trends. Qualifications - Experience: FP&A or equivalent work experience in the content, media, or tech industry, with experience in managing teams across countries and time zones.- Leadership and Business Partnering: A demonstrated track record of successfully managing and operating as a finance business partner at the leadership level, preferably in a change management and cost optimization context.- Technical Skills: Prior experience with SQL is a plus. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and financial analysis is essential.- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, strong logical reasoning, and critical thinking abilities.Preferred Qualifications:- Global Experience: Experience working across various locations and time zones, especially in global organizations, and mobility are desirable.- Software Proficiency: Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office/Google Package and experience with EBS/SAP is preferred. Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110000 - $244000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
