years of independent financial and compliance auditing experience
of local governments (cities, water districts, school districts).

- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree - Accounting preferred
- Current CPA License
- 5 Years of auditing experience
- Experience with local governments and non-profit organizations
a plus but not a requirement
- Exceptional understanding of U.S accounting standards, FASB,
GASB
- Exceptional understanding of U.S audit and attest
standards
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Frequent travel to clients sites
- Out-of-town travel with overnight stay (25-30%)

- Gain an understanding of clients' needs and expectations, their
operations and industry, accounting and control systems, employees,
company values and industry specific Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles, Governmental Accounting Standards, Financial Accounting
Standards, Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards,
Uniform Compliance (Single Audit Act) and Generally Accepted
Auditing Standards issues.Schedule audits
- Coordinate, organize and lead planning meetings
- Coordinate, organize and lead wrap-up meetings
- Entrance and exit conferences with clients.
- Manage team assignments, team workloads, and team
deliverables.
- Review engagement workpapers, provide direct feedback to team
members
- Update templates, reports, etc. based on new accounting and
auditing standards.
- Review staff prepared financial statements, audit reports and
management letters
- Take a lead role in planning and conducting annual audit,
review, and compilation engagements with a variety of clients
- Supervise audit staff assigned to engagements
- Perform diversified accounting and auditing assignments in
coordination with the partners and team members
- Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and
application of professional and Firm standards
- Meet time constraints and client deadlines
- Build client relationships and maintain smooth working
relationships
- Work effectively within given budgetary parameters; assist
staff in prioritizing and managing their workload. Approach
projects with a sense of urgency and is completion orientated
- Prepare and index working papers in an electronic audit
software (Pfx Engagement); perform various procedures established
under auditing standards to verify accuracy and validity of client
financial matters
- Prepare financial statements under GASB, FASB and other
federal, state or local guidelines
- Perform technical work and develop technical skills.
- Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control
structure.
- Work with audit teams to identify and resolve client issues
