Job Description
Local CPA firm, located in San Jose, California, is actively seeking a highly motivated CPA. Broad knowledge and hands on experience with tax preparation, planning, and accounting is necessary.

Responsibilities can include:

- Prepare and review Federal and State individual, corporate, partnership, trust, exempt organization, and estate tax returns

- Perform and review compilations of small to mid-size businesses

- Manage client engagements

- Tax planning and research

- Assist in tax controversy matters, including government audits

- Understand and track tax deadlines and maintain client tax compliance

- Review client payroll and sales tax returns as needed

- Perform additional duties and projects as requested by clients and management

Qualifications:

- 3+ years recent tax preparation experience

- Able to work independently and in a team

- Good client service skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize a number of client accounts

- Strong written and oral communications skills

- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, etc.)

- Experience with Thomson CS Professional Suite -(Ultra Tax, FileCabinet, etc.) and PPC Checkpoint a plus

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) Plan, paid holidays and personal-time-off.
