The Sr Accountant/Analyst role at Satellite Healthcare is the
backbone of the accounting department, and is responsible for
recording and reviewing of all financial transactions in our
general ledger system to ensure accuracy and completeness of all

mission.*About the Role*The Sr Accountant/Analyst role at Satellite
Healthcare is the backbone of the accounting department, and is
responsible for recording and reviewing of all financial
transactions in our general ledger system to ensure accuracy and
completeness of all reported financial results. The role ensures
that monthly and annual financial reporting (both internal and
external regulatory) is completed and distributed to all needed
recipients timely.*Essential Functions: ** Implements and improves
accounting and internal control policies and procedures* Determines
the necessary monthly journal entries and posts them* Independently
completes month-end close, including preparation of financial
statements* Prepares monthly account reconciliations for all
balance sheet accounts* Monthly preparation and review of trend and
variance analysis; investigates and fixes issues or recommends
solutions* Drafts written reports for partnerships as needed*
Oversees accuracy of consolidation process* Interfaces and works
with other departments and employees as necessary to ensure and
accurate recording of financial transactions and financial
reporting (i.e. A/P, Payroll, HR, Operations, etc.)* Delivers ad
hoc reports as needed* Researches accounting issues* Serves as a
lead responder to external auditor's questions*Education &
Experience* :* Bachelor's degree required; a focus in Accounting /
Finance preferred* Four (4) years of accounting
experience*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ** Comfortable using
Great Plains and FRX software* Must have solid understanding of and
be able to apply GAAP* Must have good MS Excel skills* Strong
analytical and problem solving skills* Excellent communication
skills, both written and verbal* Must be motivated self-starter who
is willing to take on additional tasks as requested* Ability to
work independently as well as in a team environment* Ability to
interact directly with senior managers and executives* Must be
highly accurate and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure
