The Enterprise Product Team team is responsible for creating delightful payment solutions that enable PayPal's largest and most complex merchants to grow and scale their payments reliably, compliantly, and safely across the globe. The Processing team is the key domain that drives all full-stack processing as part of the Braintree product offering.This team is responsible for designing, building and deploying full-stack processing capabilities from Visa/Mastercard to local debit networks to wallets and alternative payment methods across the globe. As part of their wallet portfolio, this team is responsible for the integration of PayPal and Venmo into our merchant processing platform.This Domain is also responsible for the target state of PayPal's Enterprise In-Store roadmap and investments, as we look to deliver delightful omnichannel consumer experiences for all of our merchants - online or in person. Product Managers on this team manage a leading fleet of terminals, and are working on incremental payment methods and features to support this vertical.Presenting unique outside-in, merchant-first way of thinking, the team works on products and features that expand the Enterprise Payments Platform driving processing volume and accretive revenue to the Group.

As Head of the Processing Group you will be responsible for all processing and payment methods presented to our merchants, including traditional . In this role you will work with product, engineering and architecture teams to define and drive the stabilisation of the existing platform while simultaneously creating space for the target state of Acquiring within PayPal's merchant ecosystem.

You will bring together a passion and diligence for creating exceptional products along with business acumen and Technology expertise. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and growth teams to keep the team in sync with regular stand-ups, planning sessions and retrospectives.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, Support, Finance, Go to market, Risk & Compliance, to ensure that our enterprise and partner businesses get the best-in-class products and experiences.

To be successful in this role, you must have the drive to stabilise existing platforms, create new products and be willing to dive into key strategic initiatives with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong business acumen and product knowledge inside the payments ecosystem, specifically in eCommerce card processing
  • At least 12+ years' experience providing end-to-end business direction and Product leadership
  • 8+ years of direct prior experience in acquiring and payments processing (eCommerce, FinTech, Banking ecosystem preferred)
  • 5+ years managing large product and technology teams across multiple capabilities
  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products
  • Solid experience delivering products in a matrixed organization
  • Experience influencing and aligning partners across different points of view or functions, to drive action and change
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Preferably in a business, quantitative or technical fieldKey Responsibilities & Accountability: -
    • Lead a scaled team of 15-20+ Product Managers, including 2-3 Product Directors
    • Define Processing Product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives that enable solutions for PayPal's Enterprise merchants. This includes development of back office applications, Data products, and orchestration with processing, merchant experience and banking partner teams.
    • Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help drive the architectural runway and determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs for critical merchant pain points.
    • Merchant focus: Represent the end merchant on an ongoing basis and use this to drive effective prioritization and decision making.
    • Lead product vision development, sprint prioritization and trade-off sessions, cross-functional design sessions and team retrospectives.
    • Collaborate and influence product outcomes in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders - Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Banking Partners.
    • Data-driven decision-making: Use A/B Testing, analytics, merchant discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to drive decision making.Skills, Experience and Education
      • Ability to make decisions and progress in the face of ambiguous and at times overlapping priorities, i.e. Managing complex deliverables and maintaining high quality data standards while meeting project timelines
      • Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to leadership teams in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manner.
      • Adept at working cross functionally with technology, service, marketing and product teams to create, implement and evolve our reporting solutions offering tangible, measurable client results.
      • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner (Scrum/XP), with a deep understanding of the critical skillsets leveraged, including:
        • Product roadmap development and communication
        • Backlog grooming and prioritization
        • Partnership with architecture and engineering teams to ensure complete product definition, including both functional and non-functional requirements
        • Acceptance criteria and KPI implementation to drive product level Definition of Done
        • Cross-team prioritization and dependency management in a scaled Agile environment
        • Prior experience managing banking, funding, treasury and trading technology teams in a regulated, high velocity processing environment.
        • Advanced and eloquent communicator, able to speak to Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Sales, and Clients
        • Experience with B2B and Product software, including: Powerpoint, Salesforce, Jira, Sharepoint, etc.
