Prime Electric Inc., located in San Jose, CA is a Union commercial electrical contractor serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Prime Electric is rapidly growing and becoming one of the premier electrical contractors in the Bay Area and is searching for the right candidate to join our team as a--Project Admin.This is an excellent opportunity to join a solid team with room for growth and development. This is an immediate full-time opening.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Minimum 2 years' experience in a role focusing on one or more of the following: Project Administration, Accounts Receivable Administration/Cash Collections, or Job Cost.Experience working within the Construction Industry (Electrical, General Contractor, etc.) a plusIntermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel, required (familiarity with pivot tables)Adobe Acrobat or Blue Beam a plusStrong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to effectively and professionally interface at all levels (customers, subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, peers, field personnel, managers and executives).Must be detail-oriented, customer focused, exceptionally organized; possess a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and take the initiative to provide support/follow-up.Must be self-motivated, hard-working, performance driven, and reliable.Experience with Foundation/Viewpoint/Vista Accounting Software a plusJOB DUTIES:Reports directly to Group Executive and provides support to all Project Managers and Project Engineers with all administrative tasks on projects from inception to completion. Initial training and ongoing support will be provided by Job Cost ManagerHeavy focus on Job Cost Control - Reviewing budgets for completeness and assist with distribution and status tracking of monthly projectionsContract administration, including contract and change order processing/tracking, assisting with schedule of values preparation, and monthly reconciliations between Accounting System and Contract Revision LogsCoordinate and attend meetings, prepare agendas, and compile and distribute minutes and reports.Filing, scanning, and indexingProvide occasional reception assistance (i.e. phones, greeting customers, restocking kitchen)Assist with AuditsOther duties and projects as assigned*Prime Electric does not engage with or utilize recruiting or placement agencies for any recruiting or hiring needs.
