Job Description:
Network Engineer (San Jose, California) Duties: Design, implement, and provide operational support for
global network infrastructure and services. Ensure the stability and
integrity of global LAN, WAN, WLAN remote access services, Unified
Communications, internet services, and general network services. Provide
Unified Communications implementation and operations support, including
the administration of Cisco VoIP infrastructure (Call
Manager/Unity/Call Center), as well as integrated Video Conferencing
technologies. Implement and administer network monitoring, alerting, and
capacity planning tools and services. Support remote access services (SSL
VPN, Citrix, S2S VPNs). Maintain accurate topology diagrams for all
network infrastructures. Partner with other Service Delivery teams on
project planning, implementation, and operational support. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience
performing WAN and LAN networking, including routing, switching, security,
and load balancing; or in the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree (or
foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and five
(5) years of experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): applying network
protocols, including TCP/lP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VPN, IPSEC, VolP, and
QoS to design, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems; DE
utilizing Netscaler Load-balancers and Checkpoint firewalls to improve
network performance and establish network security protocols; DE
implementing Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to perform network monitoring and
routing operations; and DE applying Cisco Nexus switches and ASA modules
to improve efficiency in Enterprise Datacenter environments and
